3.1, 2, 3 & 5. Iowa chiefs from Kansas. The fur bonnet is (3.1) decorated with a feather and a piece of metal, three more of which can be seen on his cravat. A metal disc is also attached to the glass necklace in 3.2. Here the blouse is made of appliquéd cotton, and the riding trousers are part wool and part leather. Embroidered leather gaiters and a woollen cloak can be seen next to him, in 3.3.
