This version 2 contains the files needed for the TeugnHausen, Eckmuhl & AspernEssling battle packs for ANGV, using 1 set of files for either ANGV v1 or v2. zip files required: StandardANGVsoldiersRepairedV1_8.zip or later file GenericANGVScreens1_4.zip 1809ANGVbags.zip 1809ANGVmainV2_2 AustrianMusic.zip & ModdedANGVExe.zip for play under ANGV v1 and the v2.001 patch. Note: If your operating system is set to the default of not displaying common file extensions, you will not see .exe, .zip or .bmp file extensions. The unusual .bag & .bm2 file extensions should be seen. If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, see http://greatestbattlesforum.yuku.com/topic/734/Batch-Files-Windows-7 Make a copy or new installation of ANGV (see the info on shortcuts below). Rename the folder 1809ANGV. Add the files from the ANGV v2.001 patch, but not necessarily the austerlitz.exe file if you intend to play using v1. Unzip StandardANGVsoldiersRepairedV1.zip, GenericANGVScreens.zip, 1809ANGVbags.zip & 1809ANGVmain.zip in that order into the 1809ANGV folder, with "use folder names" and "overwrite" files checked. Double click on scenmapCopy.bat in the WaterAux sub folder of the graphics folder, to make copies of the scenmaps for each scenario. Unzip AustrianMusic.zip into the Sounds folder with "use folder names" NOT checked. (This is because this is also used for the WNLB version). Run AustrianMusicRename.bat in the Sounds folder by double-clicking on it. Note : you must have BagBoy to add the other Graphics files - it is "bagboy10.exe" in the installed ANGV folder. If you don't have it you can find bagboy.exe at http://users.chariot.net.au/~mab/zips/units.html (see the ModInfo folder for a help file). Install BagBoy by doubleclicking on bagboy10.exe and following the install wizard prompts. Start the BagBoy utility by using its shortcut. Go to "File" and click on Open". A box will popup; in the bar entitled "Look in", navigate your way to the 1809ANGV/Graphics folder. The .bag files should now be listed in the window. Click on "WaterArmy.bag". Its contents will be listed in the window. [or you can start with WaterArmy.bag by double clicking on a WaterArmy.bag which will start its associated program "BagBoy"]. Go to "Archive" and click on "Add". A new box will popup; in the bar entitled "Look in", navigate your way to the WaterArmy sub folder of the Graphics folder. Select all the files by clicking on the 1st, scroll to the last, hold shift and click on the last, and click on "Open". Add all the files in the WaterAux folder to WaterAux.bag in the graphics folder, using bagboy - if you have bagboy installed, double click on WaterAux.bag, navigate to the folder, click on the 1st file, scroll to the last, hold down 'shift' and click on the last to select them all. Click 'Open'. Delete the WaterAux folder. Add all the files in the WaterMap folder to WaterMap.bag in the graphics folder. Delete the WaterMap folder. Add all the files in the WaterMisc folder to WaterMisc.bag in the graphics folder. Delete the WaterMisc folder. This can be played using modded version 1 or unmodded versions 2 ANGV. Version 2 is not necessarily better than modded version 1. Version 2 does not have working fog, sunset & sunrise are always for Winter in Bohemia, jump maps must be stretched to fit the standard size and the number of loading screens can't be set to the number available for a mod. It does have extra features but the only one used here is extra infantry graphics. V1 ANGV To install for v1, Unzip ModdedANGVExe.zip into the 1809ANGV folder, overwriting files. (This also gets rid of Sokolnitz). This contains Austerlitz.exe & JPIEXAe.dll (which is needed for the UniPatch to work). Move the config files from the "forANGVversion1" sub folder of the MapData folder to the MapData folder. Apply the Artillery patch (AustArtyPatch.exe) if you wish to set the effect of artillery. Optional: If you wish to have Old Guard uniforms when playing AspernEssling, load the standard 102 infantry graphics from the graphics folder into WaterArmy.bag and rename AspernOBFv1.txt and replace it with the AspernOBFv1.txt from the "v1AspernWithOldGuard" folder. The 102 graphics are used for German Light troops at Eckmuhl. Reload them from the WaterArmy folder before switching back to Eckmuhl, delete AspernOBFv1.txt rename the previously renamed file to AspernOBFv1.txt. You may delete the WaterArmyExtraV2 sub folder if you do not intend to play v2 ANGV. V2 ANGV To install for v2, add the austerlitz.exe from the v2.001 patch (but not the labels file). Move the config files from the "forANGVversion2" sub folder of the MapData folder to the MapData folder, overwriting files. (These use squeezed JumpMaps for the larger battlefields and/or do not use fog, as fog does not clear in v2; and refer to different OOB files which gives extra infantry graphics for v2). Extract the files from the WaterAux.bag as .BM2 files into the graphics folder. These mods use the standard flag files which are used from Watermisc.bag in v1, but from the graphics folder in v2, so there is no need to do anything with these. Add all the .BMP files in the WaterArmyExtraV2 folder to WaterArmy.bag in the graphics folder. There are individual fort offset files for each mod that will be used in v2. SHORTCUTS There are 3 shortcuts in the main folder that include the campaign numbers for the 3 maps. They presently point at C:\GAMES\1809ANGV\Austerlitz.exe -campaign xx These will need to be edited (right click/properties) to point elsewhere unless this is your chosen folder setup. They can be cut and pasted on the desktop. the campaign numbers used are: campaign=40 Eckmuhl campaign=41 AspernEssling campaign=42 TeugnHausen Rather than use shortcuts you can copy .ini files found under the "ini" folder for each battle in turn. ****************************************************************************************** This includes the changes in "AspernANGVUpdate.zip" from Davros' site. This version uses the "Au" code for Austrians rather than the "Pr" code used in the earlier conversion from WNLB so the flags in "AspernAIflags.zip" from Davros' site are not compatible. The label file will work in v1 or v2. Changes have been made including the names of allied states. (The standard v2 label file is the same as the v1 except that lines for user defined guns have been added at the end.) There are new fortified building graphics with 8 rather than 4 views and a Hougoumont graphic for the Schloss. There are fog maps for TeugnHausen, Eckmuhl & AspernEssling for use under v1. Contoured colour maps have been made for all 3 mods. There are now jumpmaps for all 3 including versions for v2. The maps have been modified, including marsh terrain that was not available to the WNLB versions. Hedge sections on the AspernEssling Map have been joined up to form enclosures and graphics have been used to cover the entire quarry area (only one sandpit graphic is added per group despite how many "q" entries are in the terrain file, seemingly in the most northwesterly square). Bridges have been added to the Eckmuhl map. "Invisible" terrain has been removed, replaced by sunken road to represent a dyke or by code "A" buildings (which look like ordinary buildings). Other small details have been edited. AUSTRIAN GRENADIERS In v1 the Austrian & Hungarian Grenadiers are represented by the line uniforms. Each regiment had 2 companies of grenadiers. The senior company wore bearskins and the junior company wore the headgear of the line troops so it is reasonable to represent them in the headgear of the line troops. Version 2.1 Kaiserquartett (also known as the "Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser") has been substituted for the British, Prussian & Russian music. A new "town groups1" with the buildings from the WNLB version and moved to the right to better fit the town ground areas is substituted and an mpflags for allies in multiplay added. V2.2 1809ANGVbags.zip Austrian Jager graphics repaired (including missing legs from 'shoot') A little editing of 134cavstand.bmp & 117cavstand.bmp. V2.2 1809ANGVmain.zip Correct code for Hungarian Grenadiers used in OOBs. 24/9/09 The Military Order of Marie Theresa replaces the Order of the Golden Fleece for Battle Details Screen (end game) in the graphics folder & WaterAux.bag for OOB screen. 11/11/09 - corrected menu.txt included. 24/1/10 4 portraits added. More Austrian music added. 15/4/10 OOBs edited for new Hat2 graphic & extra soldier graphics for version 2 ANGV. Graphics for Baden Leibdragoner, Wurttemburg Chevauleger, & 1st Bavarian Dragoner-Regiment added. Mährische Freikorps changed to brown uniform with shako. Portrait of Bianchi added.
