I have modded the Hougoumont graphics and Hougoumont Offsets Comma Separated Values (.csv) and the surrounding terrain to: A) make it look a bit more like the historical buildings; B) have the buildings fit within the wall as much as the fixed wall will allow; C) treat the buildings complex as a whole and adjust some shadows etc to take into account neighbouring buildings - except where I have not been able to figure out the background colour and D) fix some problems with the graphics. WNLB graphics seem to use the colour of the top left hand corner pixel of each frame as the background colour. The Hougoumont graphics cut down the frame to the smallest rectangle that will hold all the non-background area. The background colour is then reassessed before it is displayed. This means the top left hand corner pixel of this rectangle must also be of the background colour. This doesn't fit all cases though and there may be some other rule as well which may relate to shadow colour. Chimneys have been added to the gatehouse, but not its east wing which did not have a chimney until after 1815. The building graphics look like they have been generated using 3D models. Those used for most of the Hougoumont graphics had transparent windows. The opposite wall is displayed in the window (ignoring any internal walls). If the outside of the wall opposite is the sunny side of the building, this sunny coloured wall is displayed through the window. This is not how it is in real life, as this wall does not receive direct light from the windows opposite it. I have therefore darkened all the windows affected. The North Wing of the West Barn has been swapped for a larger one. The South Wing of the West Barn has been made a lot longer. An extension to the west wing of the gatehouse has been included. A change in roof colour can be seen in the drawings and photos of the inner side of this are. To accommodate this the other part of the west wing has been incorporated in the Gatehouse graphic. The Gatehouse graphics have been skewed to fit the gap in the wall. Other graphics have been skewed to be parallel to these or to the neighbouring wall. Most of the buildings had the outside wall built into them. All I can do is place them near the wall. I have gone with the best fit with the building in the centre of the screen at extreme zoom-in. The WaterlooRoads.txt & WaterlooTerrain.txt files include the changes made to eliminate hedges and add fields as well as the changes for Hougoumont. INSTALLATION Extract the .zip into your WNLB folder with "Use Folder Names" & "Overwrite files" checked. Add all the .bmp files in the WaterMisc folder to WaterMisc.bag in the graphics folder, using bagboy - if you have bagboy installed, double click on WaterMisc.bag, navigate to the folder, click on the 1st file, scroll to the last, hold down 'shift' and click on the last to select them all. You can delete the WaterMisc folder.
