This is a supplement to the 100 days for ANGV user made battle packs for ANGV. It swaps the French Army for the Neapolitan Army of Murat. Ligny, Quatre Bras, Wavre, Waterloo & Fantasy can all be played with Neapolitan troops rather than French troops against Anglo-Allied and/or Prussian troops. There are 8 new cavalry, 3 new infantry & 2 new artillery uniform graphics. A 3rd artillery graphic is included in the 'extra'folder which is not used in the ANGV version. MoraleBlocks.bm2 has a Neapolitan flag instead of the Italian flag & the labels file changes 'Italian' to 'Neapolitan' (Italian is only used in the Maida scenario in the standard 100days setup). See NeapolitanSoldiers.gif in The ModInfo folder to see the new soldier graphics. To insall: unzip NeapolitanSupplementANGV.zip into the 100daysANGV folder, with "use folder names" and "overwrite existing files" checked and say "yes" to overwriting any files if asked. Note : you must have BagBoy to add the soldier graphics files - it is "bagboy10.exe" in the installed ANGV folder. If you don't have it you can find it at http://users.chariot.net.au/~mab/zips/units.html. Install BagBoy by doubleclicking on bagboy10.exe and following the install wizard prompts. Double click on WaterArmy.bag in the Graphics folder. This will start its associated program "BagBoy". Click on the green "+". A new box will popup; in the bar entitled "Look in", navigate your way to the Naples-WaterArmy sub folder of the Graphics folder. Choose 'BMP Files (*.bmp)' from the drop-down menu. Select all the files by clicking on the 1st, scroll to the last, hold shift and click on the last, and click on "Open". This will compress the .BMP files into .BM2 files and load them into WaterArmy.bag. Close the Bagboy window. Play the game just as you would play the 100 days campaigns. As the Neapolitan army is only the size of a corps the large scenarios will have repeated units. Scenarios which have 1 line corps plus some guards and 1 light & 1 heavy cavalry division will be about the right size to not have repeats. To give variety, 3 different OOBs were used to compile the OOB: 2 versions of the 1815 Neapolitan Army from the 'Maida' & 'Glory Enough For All' packs & the Neapolitan troops from SW1899's 1809 OOB. French 100 days generals are used as corps commanders. To restore to the 100 days setup: extract 100daysANGVsoldiers.zip & 100daysANGVmain.zip again. Graeme ************************************************************************************************ ************************************************************************************************ The 100days for ANGV This contains files for 4 campaigns: Ligny, Quatre Bras, Wavre & Waterloo Installation of the 100 days mod for Austerlitz: Napoleon's Greatest Victory. Installing under "unipatched" ANGV v1 Note: If your operating system is set to the default of not displaying common file extensions, you will not see .exe, .zip or .bmp file extensions. The unusual .bag & .bm2 file extensions should be seen. zip files required: ModdedANGVExe.zip 100daysANGVgraphics.zip 100daysANGVsoldiers.zip French&BritishSounds.zip 100daysANGVmain.zip Make a copy of your Austerlitz folder or make a new installation of ANGV. Rename the folder 100daysANGV. Unzip ModdedANGVExe.zip into the 100daysANGV folder, overwriting files. (This has the unipatch which adds extra features). This contains Austerlitz.exe & JPIEXAe.dll (which is needed for the unipatch to work). If using XP or later, right click on Austerlitz.exe and set the properties to Win98 compatibility. Apply the Artillery patch (AustArtyPatch.exe) if you wish to set the effect of artillery. Unzip the other .zip files in the above order into the 100daysANGV folder, with "use folder names" and "overwrite existing files" checked and say "yes" to overwriting any files if asked. No files need to be packed into .bag files. Instead, all the .bag files in the graphics folder except WaterArmy.bag must be renamed or deleted so that graphics are used directly from the graphics folder. So DELETE or rename WaterMap.bag & WaterMisc.bag. If you see Russian & Austian flags it is because the standad files are being used from a .bag file. Run "CopyBritishToRussian.bat" in the Sounds folder by double-clicking on it. This copies British voices over the Russian voices Edit austerlitz.ini to set the "Campaign=" number: 23=Ligny 26=Quatre Bras 28=Wavre 62=Waterloo 48=Fantasy battle by Tirailleur du Po Waterloo has a walled enclosure at Hougoumont installed that is specific to that battle. This is enabled by a file in the MapData folder which is called: SpecArea.mod Copy the SpecArea.mod file from the "Waterloo" subfolder to the MapData folder when you wish to play Waterloo, then before moving on to one of the other campaigns copy the SpecArea.mod from the "Other" subfolder to the MapData folder (overwriting the file in both cases). Run austerlitz.exe from the 100daysANGV folder or make a shortcut on the desktop. You can make a shortcut on the desktop by right clicking on austerlitz.exe, "send to" then "Desktop (create shortcut)". When you have had enough 100days, delete the 100daysANGV folder & shortcut, no need to restore. This mod is only set up for modded version 1 ANGV. Version 2 is not necessarily better than modded version 1. Version 2 does not have working fog, sunset & sunrise are always for Winter in Bohemia, jump maps must be stretched to fit the standard size and the number of loading screens can't be set to the number available for a mod. It does have extra features but none are used for this mod. The Gatehouse at Hougoumont will only show up in unipatched modded v1 ANGV. If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, see http://greatestbattlesforum.yuku.com/topic/734/Batch-Files-Windows-7 Graeme http://warfare.cf/Greatest_Battles/Greatest_Battles.htm Waterloo is a conversion of the WNLB game with a few different buildings used and a new arrangement of Hougoumont. There are 6 new scenarios including "Glory enough for all" & Maida. Ligny has just a few map & scenario changes. There are 2 scenarios including Ligny en grande. Quatre Bras has a couple of changes to buildings & comes with 1 scenario. Wavre has a new map based on the original elevations, new buildings & 8 scenarios. Each campaign has a fog map & a random battle. The Waterloo OoBs & scenarios are based on Davros' alternate set which has both the Anglo-allied & Prussian Armies as Army 5. The Prussian units are refered to as Brigades & regiments rather than Divisions & Brigades. Among other OoB changes are independent cavalry units have been given a commander or added to an existing brigade. Some Prussian artillery are under brigade command. The French Guard artillery commander has been added. The British Quatre Bras OoB has some higher (pre Quatre Bras losses) strengths & the Hougoumont garrison units have been distributed to their parent formations. The leader & troop qualities of Thielemann's corps have been changed to those in the WNLB 3rd patch versions. Some new versions of soldiers have been included - the artists are noted in the files. 15 July 2010 Fantasy battle & Scenario 70 'Green Valley' by Tirailleur du Po added. Vichery's division in Wavre 2nd day scenario with corrected earlier start time. ========================================================================================= Ligny and Ligny en grande were originally designed for WNLB by Marbot, QB and Wavre were created by Mike Fox and Marbot working as a team, my thanks to both of them, for permission to include these great mods. ... Good Luck Davros ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The ReadMes for Maida & the other user created scenarios for the Waterloo map are in the scenario folder.
