These are scenarios created by me. They are very small so it won't take much time to download them. Just klick on the big blue headlines and save the opening text window into your local Gettysburg directory as "gettyXX.scn" (XX stands for a number between 25 and 50). When you start the game the next time the new scenarios will be listed just under the regular single scenarios. I sorted my scenarios by size. "Waterloo" is the biggest and "Little Big Horn" the smallest one.

The Battle of Waterloo 1815 (F)
The Battle of Waterloo 1815 (GB)

Time: 18.6.1815   16:00 - 18:00
Type: Union Attack
North: French Army (Napoleon) 29.865
South: English and Prussian Armies (Wellington) 29.488
Overall: 59.353

Well, let's start with a specialty, for this is one of two scenarios that leads us away from the Gettysburg area and the year 1863 ("Little Big Horn" is the second one.). Another specialty is that this is the only scenario with two diffrent available versions. Unfortunately this was necessary because the program can't handle all the new names of the officers on both sides without getting confused. So it is only possible to play one side with the (halfway) historically correct officers while on the opponent's side the Civil War officers have to remain in command. So if you want to play the role of Napoleon (Union), choose the F-version, if you want to command the armies of England and Prussia (Rebels), choose the GB-version. Of course I was pretty unhappy about this restriction at the first moment. But it allows something else: You may command your (well-known) Civil War units against either Napoleon (Imagine: Lee vs. Napoleon!) or Wellington.
Editing this scenario I was surprised how good the Waterloo battlefield matched to the area around Emmitsburg Road. Only the village of Plancenoit, where Buelow and Lobau fought, had to be left out, because there was no house to be found in this area on the Gettysburg map. Of course there are a few more little historical mistakes. The most obvious of them is that Bluecher's III. Corps in fact was an ARMY and Ziethen, Pirch and Buelow were his Corps commanders. I fear old Bluecher would slay me instantly for degrading him and putting him under Wellington's command, but his Corps is very strong and making it stronger would leave the Frenchmen chanceless (like they finally were in reality).

Fight for the City: Gettysburg

Time: 1.7.   11:00 - 13:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: I. Corps (Reynolds), XI. Corps (Howard), 1./Cav.(Buford) 27.587
South: Combined (Ewell) 28.050
Overall: 55.637

This is my biggest scenario so far (Later: Meanwhile it is No. 2 behind "Waterloo".), so I guess, I'll have to give some explainations. The main goal is the city of Gettysburg itself, especially the little place in the northern area. The confederates are arriving from the North, South, East and West - But they are already awaited everywhere. This scenario includes 4 normal scenarios and I guess it is impossible to manage for one single player, because he would have to fight at 4 fronts at once.
The sub-scenarios are:
West : McPherson's Hill (reduced, historical)
North: Barlow's Knoll (reduced, historical)
East : Benner's Hill 2 (self-made, speculative)
South: Codori House (self-made, speculative)
As you may see, the whole "Gettysburg" scenario is only halfway historically correct. Hood and Johnson would have had to rush extremely to be THAT early. I added Grant, Merritt and Stannard to improve the Union's chances. Their appearance at the first day of the battle isn't historically correct too.
All four sub-scenarios are including little advantages for the rebels. After 1 ½ hours they should be victorious at all four fronts... and prepared for the big showdown in the city. Because of the 50 VPs it is crucial to conquer or hold the city for winning the battle.

The first Day: Blitzkrieg

Time: 1.7.   10:00 - 14:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: I. Corps (Reynolds), XI. Corps (Howard) 21.733
South: Combined (Lee) 17.738
Overall: 39.471

I hope I don't offend anybody by using this word, but it's the only one able to describe what we have to face in this scenario. A combined force of elite rebels tries to conquer the strategical key positions by storm at the first day of the battle. It is a feast for anybody who likes to play attack scenarios with strong confederate units - but not an easy task. You might think that four hours are time enough to get the job done, but you will be surprised how long and tough the way to the main goal Spangler's Knob is.
The use of the I. and XI. Union Corps at the first day is historically correct. The use of the chosen rebel brigades is definitly not - You will see.

Open Battle: Heaven's Gate

Time: 3.7.   11:00 - 12:45
Type: Meeting
North: VI. Corps (Sedgwick) 19.391
South: I. Corps (Longstreet) 19.617
Overall: 39.008

The original idea for this scenario was to construct an open battle without any terrain advantages for any side. I thought that the area east of Big Round Top would be the best stage for it (besides the area north of the city). Of course such an engagement would be a job for tough guys, so I choosed Longstreet’s and Sedgwick’s Corps. The scenario I created this way has a few simularities to "Big Round Top" and "Taneytown Road" - by chance. I didn’t plan it. But that gives "Heaven’s Gate" a halfway possible historical background.

Frontal Attack: Snyder's Ridge (large)

Time: 2.7.   14:00 - 15:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: III. Corps (Sickels), V. Corps (Sykes) ca. 16.000
South: I. Corps (Longstreet), 1./Cav. Corps (JEB Stuart) ca. 21.000
Overall: ca. 37.000

This scenario occured by chance. After I finished the Cavalry Attack, I asked myself, what would happen if the lots of frozen units I used in creating it would join the party. Here is the result. It is a tough scenario for both sides. The rebels have to attack up the hill and the Union has 5.000 men less than the enemy.
The battle takes place at the 2nd day after Sickles have (speculatively) conquered the Warfield Farm. Angerly McLaws, Hood and Stuart are trying to reconquer the heights. The scenario has a few similarities to the "Pitzer School" scenario, I created before. But this time the confederates attack. Useless to say, that Stuart's  appearance isn't historically correct.

Meade hunts Lee: Bream's Hill

Time: 3.7.   18:00 - 19:30
Type: Union Attack
North: Combined (Meade) 14.711
South: Combined (Lee) 14.930
Overall: 29.641

Once again: What if...? I read that Meade was criticized for lettig Lee escape without trying to make his defeat a total one. Well, in this scenario Meade hunts Lee very harsh by using parts of the I, V and VI Corps’. Desperately Lee collects what is left of his army and makes his final stand at Bream’s Hill to secure his retreat on Hagerstown Road and avoid a final catastrophe. As I know by bitter expierience an attack on the western flank of Bream’s Hill is extremely difficult. So I had to play a little trick to improve the Union’s chances: Meade commands the best Union brigades while Lee commands the worst rebel brigades. As a few tests showed this results in an open and very thrilling scenario. According to reality Reynolds is replaced by Doubleday and Stone by Dana.

Frontal Attack: Western Heights

Time: 1.7.   12:00 - 13:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: I. Corps (Reynolds), 1./Cav. (Buford) ca. 14.500
South: III. Corps (AP Hill) ca. 13.000
Overall: ca. 27.500

This is a larger alternative to the "Seminary Ridge" scenario. Using Heth’s and Pender’s complete divisions A.P. Hill leads a frontal attack on the western heights which are defended by the (nearly) complete I. Corps. Beside a few subtractions for the brigades who were involved at McPherson’s Hill this scenario also includes a few historical mistakes. But they make it more thrilling, I think. A few tests with the original version (to my surprise) always resulted in rebel victories, so I had to improve the Union’s chances a little. The actual version is pretty balanced now I think.

The final Stand: Power's Hill

Time: 3.7.   17:00 - 19:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: VI. Corps (Sedgwick)  ca. 13.000
South: Combined (Lee) ca. 14.500
Overall: ca. 27.500

This is a halfway historically possible scenario. After Pickett’s (successful!) Charge at The Angle the Union’s defense line is parted and flank attacked in northern and southern direction. Supported by Ewell’s and Longstreet’s frontal attacks this leads to a smashing Union defeat. To avoid a catastrophe Sedgwick’s VI. Corps trys to secure the main retreat line Baltimore Road by defending the key position Power’s Hill against the attacking rebels.

My Predicament: Fricka's Knoll

Time: 1.7.   14:00 - 16:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: XI. Corps u.a. (Fricka) 13.802
South: II. Corps (S. Jackson) 13.637
Overall: 27.439

This is a larger version of the regular "Barlow's Knoll" szenario. Stonewall Jackson leads the confederate attack. To give him a halfway equal opponent, I had to join the game personally. After playing "Barlow's Knoll" with the Union that often (most times unsuccessfully), I guess I am well qualified for this. (Hey! - It’s a joke.) The appearance and the starting positions of the different brigades refer generally to the ones used in "Alternate Gettysburg". I just added some changes to improve the Union's chances (41st NY, Merritt, early appearance of the XII. corps, Fricka).

The 3rd Alternative: Culp's Hill 2

Time: 3.7.   15:00 - 16:30
Type: Rebel Attack
Noth: XII. Corps (Slocum) ca. 13.000
South: 2./I. and 3./II. (Lee) ca. 13.000
Overall: ca. 26.000

A 3rd alternative? Well, I admit it might seems to be a little crazy to attack such a strong defense position like Culp's Hill, but who knows...

Turning Point: Little Round Top PLUS

Time: 2.7.   16:30 - 18:00
Type: Rebel Attack
Noth: Combined (Warren) ca. 12.000
South: 3./I. (Hood) ca. 10.000
Overall: ca. 22.000

Well... In fact I did not much. But the few little additions I did to the regular scenario are making LRT much more exciting, I think.

Valley of Death: Pitzer School

Time: 2.7.   11:00 - 12:30
Type: Union Attack
North: VI. Corps (Sickels) 10.626
South: 1./I. (McLaws)  10.798
Overall: 21.424

This is an alternative to the "Warfield Farm" scenario. It assumes that McLaws doesn’t march onto the heights but awaits Sickles in a strong defense position in the valley west of the farm. If Sickles really would have head west after conquering the Warfield Farm is of course as questionable as the strategical value of the old school in the valley. A few tests showed that McLaws' terrain advantage is relativated by the fact that the Union troops are fighting downhill. That makes "Pitzer School" a balanced and interesting scenario.

"Robin" Hood - King of the Wood

Time: 1.7.   14:15 - 15:30
Type: Union Attack
North: I. Corps (Reynolds), 1./Cav. (Buford) ca. 13.000
South: 3./I. (Hood)         8.074
Overall: ca. 21.000

This one is extreme. ¾ of Hood’s division conquered Will’s Woods. So far, so good. But now they have to defend themselves against Reynold’s complete (!) I. Corps and Buford’s cavalry. To improve the rebels’  chances a little, I gave Cutler, Meredith and Gamble a little McPherson’s Hill-handicap. Netherless it is pretty tough to hold Will’s Woods just because of the big number of attackers. I managed it only one time so far and I tried it a few times more...Of course there is no realistic historical background.

The Day before: Cavalry Battle

Time: 30.6.   16:00 - 19:00
Type: Meeting
North: Cav. Corps (Tidball) 11.129
South: 1./Cav. Corps (JEB Stuart)   8.488
Overall: 19.617

This scenario is created especially for people who like fast flank attacks and evade actions with the cavalry, for only a few of the regular scenarios offer this options. The theoretical approach ist that both cavalries arrive at the city the day before the battle (at full strength!). Now they have to try to conquer the (10!) strategical key positions. Three hours of Megalomania are guaranteed.

Cavalry Attack: Snyder's Ridge

Time: 2.7.   14:00 - 15:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: 2./V. (Ayres)   8.525
South: 1./Cav. Corps (JEB Stuart)   9.968
Overall: 18.493

As I already mentioned, I'm a little frustrated how rarely the cavalry units occur in the regular scenarios (Hey! Is this the reason why they occur in my scenarios that often???). In this case Stuart's  complete division is at work. After loosing the Warfield Farm they are attacking the southern flank of the Union line. Who thinks that this scenario is too small and wants to use the many frozen units too should have a look at the larger Frontal Attack version. Of course... I don't want to talk about historical mistakes in my scenarios anymore.

Hancock's Charge: Little Round Top 2

Time: 2.7.   19:00 - 20:00
Type: Union Attack
North: II. Corps (Hancock)   9.288
South: 3./I. (Hood)   8.662
Overall: 17.910

This scenario assumes that Hood managed it to conquer Little Round Top in the afternoon of the second day. Hancock tries to reconquer the hill in the evening to avoid the confederate artillery to rip the Union line by firing from LRT the next day. Hancocks starting positions and the fact that Hood's units are still on 100% aren't realistic but good for the scenario.
Attention! This scenario is exremely difficult for the Union side. Only people who are able to win "Barlow's Knoll" and "Plank's Hill" with ease and might think that the game holds no challenge for them anymore should try it.

Test of the Best: County Alm’s House

Time: 2.7.   10:00 - 11:30
Type: Variable
North: Combined (Warren)   9.239
South: Combined (Lee)   8.375
Overall: 17.614

This small but tough fight unfortunately hasn’t got any historical background at all. I just wanted to create a scenario, where you may command the best available units and needn’t be afraid of unexperienced greenhorns who might throw away their guns and run for their lifes after the first enemy contact. The only problem is that the opponent commands his elite brigades too. This way a tough fight is guaranteed in all four variants.

Surprise Attack from the City

Time: 2.7.   17:30 - 18:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: Combined (Howard, Slocum)   8.790
South: 3./II. (Johnson) + Robertson   8.136
Overall: 16.926

This is a reconstruction of my greatest victory. I wrote a little book about it in the "historicals" - unfortunately in german language. To make it breif: Johnson’s 3./II. arrives from the East and is supported by Robertson. Jones and Williams are leading a (desperate) faked attack on Culp’s Hill to bind the main Union forces while Steuart, Walker and Robertson are marching into the city to make a surprise attack on the main goal Cemetery Hill. The scenario starts just a moment before the attack.

The Trap: Codori House

Time: 1.7.   11:00 - 12:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: I. Corps (Reynolds)   8.223
South: 3./I. (Hood)   7.332
Overall: 15.555

This is one of the four sub-scenarios of the "Fight for the city" and, as I mentioned, unfortunately historicaly not correct at all. The situation: Hood arrives from the South. Robinson and Doubleday have prepared a trap at Codori House. To my surprise a few tests resulted in rebel victories, even they are in the worse position. Only 4 or 5 brigades are used on each side. That makes "Codori House" a small and clear scenario.

Doubleday defends: Cemetery Hill 2

Time: 1.7.   14:00 - 15:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: 3./I. (Doubleday)   7.216
South: 2./II. (Rodes)   7.813
Overall: 15.029

This scenario assumes that Doubleday (with Stannard this time) comes lately and has to face the following situation: Gamble and the rest of the I. Corps are defeated and the XI. Corps didn't  arrive yet. So Doubleday feels a little lonely. He makes his stand at the key position Cemetery Hill and waits what will happen. Something WILL - be sure. The starting positions are very similar to the regular "Cemetery Hill" scenario, but maybe some things will happen that don't happen there.

Counter Attack: McPherson's Hill 2

Time: 1.7.   12:00 - 13:00
Type: Union Attack
North: I. Corps (Doubleday) ca.  6.500
South: 1./III. (Heth)        6.208
Overall: ca. 12.700

In this scenario Doubleday decides to reconquer McPherson's Hill instead of defending Seminary Ridge. Unfortunately the hill is defended by Davis' and Pettigrew's fresh brigades meanwhile and the rebels might have a secret weapon in reserve...

Johnson's Charge: Benners Hill 2

Time: 1.7.   11:00 - 12:30
Type: Rebel Attack
North: 2./XI. (von Steinwehr), 1./Cav. (Buford)   5.613
South: 3./II. (Johnson)   6.177
Overall: 11.790

And here it is: The second self-made sub-scenario of the "Fight for the city". Von Steinwehr awaits, supported by Devin’s cavalry, Johnson’s attack from the East. A few tests led to different results. Once the Union defense was smashed after 15 minutes, other times the rebels failed to conquer the hill. Should Steuart and Williams wait until the reinforcements arrive? Should von Steinwehr attack them in this case? I don’t know. Once again only 4 or 5 brigades are used on each side.

Custers final Stand: Little Big Horn

Time: 25.6.1876   14:30 - 15:00
Type: Rebel Attack
North: Custer's Brigade (Custer) 1.933
South: Sioux and Cheyenne (Sitting Bull) 3.520
Overall: 5.453

Do I really have to comment this? Well, like "Fricka’s Knoll" this is a joke. Don’t take it too serious and forgive me if I made some historical mistakes. Being from Germany I am not that good in American history.
