This is a revamped version of Eric Liebmann's Fredericksburg for SMG. To install: (unless you are short of hard disk space) make a copy of your Gettysburg folder and rename it as FredericksburgSMG. Unzip into the FredericksburgSMG folder with "Use Folder Names" and "Overwrite Existing Files" checked. Say "yes" if asked to overwrite any read only files. If your operating system is using the default of "hide common extensions" you will not see ".exe" etc. Make a shortcut on the desktop by right clicking on lee.exe, "send to" then "Desktop (create shortcut)". When you have had enough FredericksburgSMG, delete the FredericksburgSMG folder & shortcut, no need to restore. The specific buildings for "Brompton", "Chatham", Steven's house & others are by RVinceD. Innis house is by Graeme Cook. The infantry graphics included are cN3 and uTR from Sid Meier's Antietam. The flags are by Neal. The new ground & forest texture gives a winter effect with minimum incorrect colour shade shift on hillsides. Eric Liebmann's trees have been regrouped so that the "Pines" include more pines and the other being deciduous. The 2 culvert bridge graphics has been completed. There are new opening screens and a scenario list map. There are 7 small scenarios that can be played as a sequence"- choose "Fight the battle", then "next scenario" after each scenario. There is a full battle scenario which may crash as there are a lot of troops so I have added 4 variants where some troops from each side don't arrive. There are 2 new scenarios covering the southern part of the battle field which include extra troops for one side or the other. The "Be the General" scenario now has 2 versions with either less CSA or USA troops so you can have a harder (or easier) battle. Some frozen troops march on from off map. The generals of these are attracted to a VP site, so look there to find them when they are activated. The artillery numbers & types have been edited. See the ModInfo folder for some reference material. The map scale is too large and does not cover the southern area of fighting. The streams are not in the right places. I have modified the terrain a little and rerouted the railroad through Fredericksburg. The river terrain & stone wall are new additions. The stone wall no longer includes invisible orchard. This allows artillery to target units. To compensate - defenders start entrenched. 13 April 2011: Palette for Opening Screens & Scenario List Map changed to suit XP & latter Windows Colours.
