This patch was created by: Colin Jones Jeroen Hill Eric Liebmann with help from a couple of other people who we thank. Hope you enjoy it. ************************************************************* Version 2.4 I have added converted buildings to the battlefield, combinations of graphics for the town graphics, plus un-fenced fields using the small stream & 1 large stream graphics; walls for Hougoumont using 2 large stream graphics; tree lined roads using the bridge graphic and 1 large stream graphic; gardens using the cemetery graphic. Changed some additional flags that show on rallying generals from the ACW versions, corrected some graphics that had colours that show as pink in SMG, added a listmap to display the scenario locations. Added a lot of named sites to the map to help with randomised scenarios. Made the rock & boulder graphics invisible. All the walled farms & 4 squares of Hougoumont have "boulders" protection. The 3 eglises, plus Ferme de Cambray, La Belle Alliance, the sand pit, Village Smohain & Chateau de Frichermont have "rocks" protection. There was a horde of extra figures marching from the map edge to units that started with more than 658 men if deployed as a brigade or > 619 if deployed individually (mostly allies). As most of the regiments were deployed individually, I changed many of the allied brigades (and 1 French) to being deployed as a brigade if there was no good reason to do otherwise, plus formed detachment battalions where necessary to hold the overflow of strengths > 658. I have made some other changes to the original scenario, including making most of the 2nd line allied units "in reserve". Randomization line added and created 2 new scenarios with randomization lines: Hougoumont & Plancenoit; and a scenario for La Haye. Nassau ****** The Nassau sub-folder contains graphics for uniforms for Nassau troops. Copy these into the game folder before playing the la Haye scenario. Unzip the download to return to the British files. You can return to the standard graphics by unzipping again. Prussians ********* The Prussian sub-folder contains graphics for uniforms, flags etc for Prussia rather than Britain. Copy them into the game folder before playing the Plancenoit & Blücher's Revenge! scenarios. Unzip the download to return to the British files. The OOB included does not inclued the British/Allied forces so the other scenarios will not work. Old Guard ********* The OldGuard sub-folder contains graphics for uniforms for the French Old Guard Foot & Horse Grenadiers. The cavstand.pcx also includes the British Cavalry. A further sub-folder has a cavstand.pcx with a combination of Horse Grenadiers & Prussian Landwehr cavalry. Add the contents of the OldGuard sub-folder to the standard graphics before playing the 01 La Garde Recule! & 03 The Guard Knows How to Die scenarios. Also add the Prussians & then the cavstand.pcx with a combination of Horse Grenadiers & Prussian Landwehr cavalry before playing the 16 Last Triumph of the Eagle scenario. 5 Feb 2010: Menu edited so Generals Lee and Meade aren't mentioned for purchasable troops. Courier & scenario background screens added from Ernie's Waterloo for SMA. Version 2.5: 4 new scenarios - 3 featuring the Imperial Guard. Trees using extra colours, new texture for orchard & forest ground, greener grass, standard line of sight colour, some elevations smoothed, and blank overview screens added. The original map only had elevations done down to row 50, I have added some made up elevations below this line. The Nassau & Old Guard graphics have been converted by Ernie. New Side choosing & courier screens. Redone Scenario List/Map screen with a unique palette and troop icons with Windows colours only. Frichermont uses a larger displaying slot. Hougoumont buildings use some extra colours. The fields have more holes in them to show the line of sight. Some small fields added within large ploughed fields. Some renumbering of the OOBs. Troop numbers changed to WNLB numbers. Prussian batteries have been divided in 2 to reduce the amount of Prussian Artillery per brigade in random games. As well as brown & grey in the grass texture being replaced by green, the green range in the master palette (stuff.pcx) has had the amount of green increased by 10%.
