17 B-25's bomb Malai on Shortland I. Ftr aircraft (AAF and Navy)
attack barges and AA guns at Tonolai, SE coast of Ballale I, NW tip
of Choiseul I, Amun above Cape Moltke, Numa Numa, and Chabai. Others
cover dive bmrs attacking Jakohina Mission area, gun positions at
Kangu and Malabita Hill, and in Mosigetta area. A few B-34's hit
Mawareka area.

10 B-24's from Canton I strike Maloelap. 20 others, sent against the
same tgt from Nanumea, run into bad weather. 2 attack cargo ship and
other vessels near Maloelap, the remaining 18 return to base without
attacking.
