Cantiga 129 of the Cantigas de Santa Maria of Alfonso X

The Soldier who was Struck in the Eye by an Arrow
In a fierce battle, an arrow wounded a man from Murviedro.
It passed through his eye and lodged in his neck.
He commended himself to the Virgin and vowed to make an offering at Salas if she would heal him.
The arrow was pulled out of his eye and he was completely cured. His eyesight was even better than it had been before.
He went to Salas straightaway and the miracle was proclaimed far and wide.
Everyone who heard about it praised Holy Mary of Salas and went on pilgrimage to her shrine.
