Date of loss – January 12th, 1942
Reason – Sunk by coastal gun batteries at Karungan while
covering Japanese invasion of Tarakan. Due to phone lines being cut it
was unknown to the personnel operating the gun batteries that Tarakan
had already capitulated. As a reprisal, the 84 men operating the guns are executed.
